Sun Art in the Caribbean

Check out my latest art work! I will be showing a series of self portraits at the Grenada Arts Council Pop Up Show at the Spice Lands Mall in St. George's, Grenada on April 2nd.

I am using a UV/water sensitive paper called Sun Art Paper. I place found objects on top of the UV paper, expose it in the sun for 5 minutes, and then give the paper a water bath for about 1 minute. The result is a gorgeous bright white wherever the objects blocked the sun, and brilliant blue where the sun was exposed to the paper. I then examined each composition to decide where to draw. Below is an example of what the paper looks like after it dries and before I start to draw.
