Painting on blueprints

I have been experimenting with creating blueprints, or cyanoptypes on canvas. The process uses two chemicals, ammonium iron(III) citrate and potassium ferricyanide. I purchased an easy to use kit online. The results are amazing! I find that using gesso after the prints are made, then adding my acrylic paint where I want it works best. The dark blue in the hair, small circle, shawl and large circle in the lower corner are the blueprint. The images are exposed coins, fabric and clothes pins. I am planning on showing this, and the rest of the mixed media blueprint series next week at the Grenada Contemporary Show at Susan Main's Gallery. I am currently in the process of building stretcher bars for the canvases.
